The CuRe All Letters | No. 6: The Man in the Blue Suit and the Flickering Illusion

Our family offers its thoughts and prayers to Charlie Kirk and his family. I cannot express my emotions. God, keep us firm and safe as the darkness looms and evil seeks to unnerve us. May it instead galvanize our collective will and ready us for the days to come.

Dear America,

The CuRe All Letters began as an attempt to—through learning, discussion, and reason—plant the seeds of a return to our founding principles and a restored American culture. I want to help create a future that my children and theirs can inherit and regard with pride. This is still my mission. I believe our country can never heal until we achieve it.

Yet, it is clear to me that my mission can never be accomplished until the American culture war—now teetering dangerously on the edge of civil war—has reached its conclusion.

I believe the MAGA counterrevolution against the American Progressive project has unmasked a greater evil who is stoking the fires of rage, hatred, disgust, and destruction. And this darker evil, working through the mob, has become Legion.

From here, I speak only to those whose mind is still their own, left or right.

Our resolve will be tested in the coming days. It is time for us to gather ranks in solidarity and hold fast. More will fall. But we cannot go silent. Be willing to pay your portion of the toll for the sake of those who already have. The mob’s spiral into deeper violence will quicken. Their dark masters will ensure it. No one who speaks out against their machinations will be safe. Not me, not you.

Be ready. It knows no side. And it is everywhere

The illusion conjured by this unmasked evil has been undone. And this Darkness, much like the evil witch in a story—enraged by being revealed and desperate to regain her power, screaming for time to reverse its course—has taken a new form much worse than the foul odors and rotting floorboards of the otherwise idyllic cabin in the woods hinted it might.

And We the People, playing the part of the panicked victim, have seen the truth far too late. We have fallen into a trap, and the predators don’t care anymore if we see the truth. All that’s left is to subdue and cook us. Like the villains they are, their hands will remain clean in the killing. They have pawns.

But there’s a twist! In this story, the witch thinks she’s the moral one. Her objectives reach far beyond simply cannibalizing us: She wants us to understand… to accept… to believe that we deserve to be consumed, destroyed, and utterly erased. She bellows for time’s reversal not out of rage that she has been discovered—she screams because her effort to convince us we were to blame for her murdering us have thus far failed. Until she does, the void in her soul will never be filled.

Second twist. Kill the metaphor. Even after the evil bastards have destroyed the American System, the American Culture, and everything we stand for, it still will not have been enough. They will still be a bunch of miserable twits with only self-loathing to guide their actions.

Frankly, I hate that timeline, so let’s try this:

The Man in the Blue Suit, watching from a distance, sees We the People about to become demon food. He’s rather fond of us, so he swoops in and breaks the illusion ahead of schedule. Like a trapped animal suddenly freed, part of us has a nearly irresistible urge to attack him. But the rational part of our minds recognizes what he’s trying to do, even if we disagree with the way he is doing it.

Part of us loves and part of us hates the Man in the Blue Suit, but he has broken the witch’s spell. Woke from slumber, We the People, in the nick of time, have a window of opportunity in which to save ourselves.

But, like the poor trapped fool in the story, we will not escape unscathed. The evil one is coming, and we have mere seconds to prepare.

Wake up. Be ready. And be safe.

In times of darkness, We the People must stand as one. May we always pray for the souls who are lost to the cause of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness,
